DIY preservative - microporous - 4 star
4 star preservative, 12 colours, 2-5 years
Microporous preservative prolongs the life of any wooden building, even if it has been immersion treated or pressure treated. It repels water while allowing the timber to breathe. This quick drying wood preservative features a waterproof coating and mould inhibitor with higher concentrations of pigment to ensure a longer lasting finish. The advanced water based formula is easy to clean and almost odourless. Easily applied with a brush, a roller or a garden sprayer, this preservative is suitable for smooth planed or sawn finish timber. Two coats are recommended with a further coat after 2-5 years. An extra coat ensures a more opaque finish. One litre covers approximately 6 to 12 square metres. Coverage varies according to the smoothness and porosity of the timber so you should order more than you need. On average five litres covers a 10x8 shed with two coats and ten litres covers a 10x16 with three coats. Colours are only as accurate as reproductive techniques allow. The price includes free mainland delivery to England, Wales and southern Scotland.
